SpringAid International Development is a non non-profit development organisation dedicated to helping people living in poverty to fight the root cause of poverty  through entrepreneurship, education, health promotion, human rights, and community development. As part of a newly awarded Sida Civil Society Strengthening Grant (2025–2028), we are recruiting a qualified Finance Manager to ensure strong financial stewardship and accountability for our multi-year empowerment program in Imo State.

Role Overview

The Finance Manager will oversee all financial, budgeting, reporting, and compliance functions of the Sida-funded project, ensuring complete transparency, accountability, and alignment with international donor regulations. The ideal candidate is ethical, detail-oriented, and deeply familiar with NGO financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets.
• Ensure strict compliance with Sida, SpringAid, and Nigerian financial regulations.
• Lead financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting records, and audit-ready documentation.
• Prepare donor financial reports and liaise with auditors and stakeholders.
• Manage financial risks and contribute to sustainability and scaling strategies.
• Train staff and beneficiaries on financial literacy where needed.

Qualifications

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics (required).
• MSc, ICAN, ACCA or CPA (strong advantage).
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in NGO/donor-funded project finance.
•  Experience with Sida/EU/USAID/UN projects strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
• Strong integrity, analytical capacity, and leadership skills.
