Position Title: Project Manager
Project: Sida-Women & Youth Entrepreneurship and Job Creation Project
Location: Owerri and Obowo, Imo State (with frequent field travel)
Duration: 6 months probation period after which could be made Full-time (Dec 2025 – Oct 2028)

SpringAid International Development (SpringAid Nigeria) is a registered nonprofit dedicated to helping people living in poverty especially women, children and youths fight the root causes of poverty and empowering low-income communities through entrepreneurship, education, gender equality, and community development. We work in partnership with SpringAid Sweden, SpringAid Cameroon, SpringAid UK to implement sustainable, locally led development programs.
We are recruiting a highly skilled and competent Project Manager to lead the successful implementation of a new Sida-funded Women & Youth Entrepreneurship and Job Creation Project in Imo State.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership, oversight, and coordination of all project activities.
- Lead planning, budgeting, and implementation aligned with the project’s Theory of Change.
- Oversee field operations, training programs, mentorship systems, and partner engagement.
- Manage project finances, ensure compliance with Sida and SpringAid policies, and monitor spending.
- Establish strong MEAL systems including baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
- Prepare donor-standard reports and maintain communication with stakeholders.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Supervise and mentor project staff, trainers, and field teams.
- Support sustainability, scale-up pathways, and local ownership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience managing donor-funded development projects (Sida/EU/USAID/UN preferred).
- Proven expertise in financial management, MEAL, and entrepreneurship or livelihoods programming.
- Excellent communication, writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with community groups, government agencies, and private-sector partners.
- Ability to travel within Imo State frequently.
Highly Desirable
- Master’s degree; understanding of Igbo language and culture; experience with MEAL digital tools.
