Location: Owerri & Obowo, Imo State (with field travel)

SpringAid International Development (SpringAid Nigeria) is seeking a highly competent and motivated MEAL Officer to support our new Sida-funded project aimed at empowering 1,200 women and youths in Imo State through entrepreneurship, job creation, and skills development.
The MEAL Officer will play a key role in ensuring the project delivers measurable, evidence-based, and sustainable impact. This includes leading data collection, managing monitoring systems, coordinating evaluations, ensuring accountability to beneficiaries, and driving learning across the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage project MEAL systems aligned with the Sida Results Framework.
- Lead baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
- Track progress against indicators such as employment, income, business performance, and
- skill development.
- Facilitate feedback and complaints mechanisms ensuring accountability and safeguarding.
- Produce high-quality weekly, monthly, and quarterly MEAL reports.
- Conduct data quality checks, verification visits, and spot assessments and documentation.
- Support adaptive management by facilitating learning reviews and documenting lessons.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Economics, or related
- field.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in MEAL within NGO:s or donor-funded projects.
- Strong analytical and data management skills (Excel, SPSS, Power BI, KoboCollect).
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with communities, especially women and youth.
