From All Of Us At SAID Nigeria Wishing You Merry Christmas!

Dear Friends!

To say that 2020 has been unprecedented is an understatement. The world is a much different place than it was a year ago. Here in Nigeria, we're grappling with a pandemic, an economic crisis, and bad governance at all levels creating untold hardship and extreme poverty.

The pandemic has shaped the year 2020. It has challenged the resilience of individuals, organizations, and whole sectors to the test. Many people have suffered from loneliness and isolation, loss of loved ones, financial hardship, and changes to daily life. For SAID Nigeria, it has been a very difficult year for us and the marginalized and poor people we serve.

Yet, despite the challenges we face, we 're still hopeful. Because the current state of the world gives us a chance to reimagine the future we want.

Hard work lies ahead, and it will take all of our efforts to meet the challenges of these unprecedented times. But we believe with true cooperation and partnership, our future can be one of shared opportunities, shared responsibilities, and more inclusive and sustainable communities.

This year has been a reminder of how much we all need and depend on one another. Our strength is our solidarity with one another, and we can achieve great things when we work together and help each other. It's important to keep in mind that we are in this together, and we all have a responsibility to help each other.

We're grateful for all your support to SAID Nigeria and your support for the amazing work we do together. Thank you for standing in solidarity with us for children, women, and marginalized people.

Let us make a room for them in our lives and homes. In them, we can see the child born Jesus.

Your commitment means a great deal to us always — but it means, even more, this year with the devastating consequences of the pandemic.

We can't do this work without you. Thank you.

From all of us at SAID Nigeria, wishing you a merry Christmas!
