We are glad to partner with Vitamin Angels, a global organization fighting Malnutrition in children. Vitamin Angels focuses on serving pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children under five who are at risk of malnutrition and do not have access to national health services. They also provide deworming tablets for children and promote nutritional counselling for mothers in need. Malnutrition can disrupt physical and cognitive development i...n children under five years old. Multivitamins help children thrive when diets are limited. With this collaboration, we have an opportunity to further strengthen our health and well-being promotion in the communities we serve.

Biologically, our bodies use vitamin A for many purposes. If this essential nutrient is lacking while children are still developing, they can get sick, go blind and even die. While the symptoms are not always visible, vitamin A deficiency puts the health and survival of children at risk every day.
Vitamin A supplements work to strengthen immune systems and fight off life-threatening illnesses for children who don’t have access to foods with vitamin A. Two doses a year of this powerhouse nutrient combat the devastating effects of vitamin A deficiency. We believe in the power of vitamins because they’re a proven solution to reducing global malnutrition.

SAID is working with Vitamin Angels to deliver vitamins to those who we know need them most. We have recently received a consignment of in-kind Vitamin A, albendazole, and prenatal/postnatal multivitamins from Vitamin Angels to support our health promotion programme. The total number of 112 bottles micronutrient grant: - 20000 doses of Vitamin A 100,000 IU - Children 6-11 Months (40 bottles, enough for 20000 beneficiaries) - 24000 doses of Vitamin A 200,000 IU - Children 12-59 Months (48 bottles, enough for 12000 beneficiaries) - 24000 doses of Albendazole 400 mg - Children 12-59 Months (24 bottles, enough for 12000 beneficiaries) are provided to SpringAid International Development as a humanitarian donation to be distributed free of charge to the people of Imo state, Nigeria.
