Vitamin Angels a leading global multi-bilateral micronutrient/Vitamin organization in the world which according statistics happen to be the number one and the largest distributor of Abendazole deworming tablet; Number two(2) largest distributor of Vitamin A globally and the number one and the largest distributor of multiple micronutrient supplement (MMS), globally held a stretched (8hrs) South-East Partners Coordination meeting of the organization which was presided by the Vitamin Angels (VA) Country Director, Dr Francis Ohanyido, the organization's Programme, Measure/Evaluation Manager- Suleiman Yakubu and was attended by her invited partners in the South-East of Nigeria in Owerri Imo State at BELAND Hotel, Imo State Specialist Hospital Road, Off Porthercourt Road, World Bank Umuguma which SpringAid International Development ( SAID), Nigeria amongst other Civil Society Organizations/NGOs like CHAN and CS-SUN participated actively.

It's is on record that on the 5th of June 2019 Dr. Francis Ohanyido the Country Director came for this purpose in a micro way, in company of Suleiman Yakubu for the Imo Stakeholders meeting at West Brooke Hotel New Owerr which led to today's South East meeting of the partners in Owerri.

Vitamin Angels in its effort to reduce newborn mortality rates orchestrated the reason for the meeting held today with the aim of orientating and engaging her South East partners toward delivery of a robust nutritional programmes and projects.

The Country Director made it known to all her partners in the South East that VA is bent on scaling up its prenatal multivitamin program to meet the needs of 50 million women annually by the year 2030. With an estimated 7,000 newborns dying daily per data released by UNICEF, therefore Vitamin Angels is rallying support to address the pressing need and to further accelerate impact and create lasting change.

However Vitamin Angels focuses on creating demand for MMS, ensuring a global supply of MMS, influencing policy change regarding MMS in low and middle-income countries, and connecting at-risk pregnant women with MMS.

Providing supplemental nutrition in the form of a daily multiple micronutrient supplement (MMS), is an excellent way to meet the increased nutrient demands during pregnancy. Prenatal MMS helps support healthy pregnancies, prevent anemia, promote fetal growth, and ensure that babies are born at a healthy birth weight. The MMS provided by Vitamin Angels is consistent with the United Nations International Multiple Micronutrient Antenatal Preparation (UNIMMAP) formula, manufactured to international quality standards.

Moreover, Dr Ohanyido made it known to her partners that the essence of VA's involvement and commitment in the distribution of multiple micronutrient supplement (MMS) is not to replace the normal Antenatal routine drugs like Folic Acid,Iron and others rather the essence is to introduce a Superior alternative to what it's obtained in the globe which moreso guarantee's a Child's first 1000 days development.

It's important to note that these Drugs or multiple micronutrient supplement (MMS) are distributed for free and not sold. Anyone found selling any of the drugs shall be prosecuted.

It was indeed a scintillating and hilarious meeting of the like minds.
